Light Rail Community Outreach

Since the inception of the Central Phoenix/East Valley Light Rail Transit Project, we have actively sought the community’s input on every aspect of its development, from the route and station locations, to the station design to the public art program. To date, we have held hundreds of meetings with the community during the planning and design phases to allow opportunity for feedback on the plans. We have used that input to develop the best possible light rail system to serve the community.

The Public Involvement staff of Valley Metro Rail is responsible for working one-on-one with community members to provide information about light rail plans and address any concerns or issues.

The Valley's light rail system will offer riders a speedy link between the cities of Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa and Glendale and will be an integral part of a comprehensive Valley-wide transit system.
